CCobb Inc., like most companies, was founded on an idea. Our Skylight Protector is that idea and now our patented product. I developed it to prevent the loss of property through a violent act of nature, the hailstorm.

Every spring severe thunderstorms rage across the central United States. With them comes heavy winds and rain, an occasional tornado, and hailstones. It was one such storm which inspired me to invent this product.

The story starts. After deciding to remodel the living area of our home, my wife and I agreed that we would enjoy the natural lighting of a few skylights to be added to our plans. This was done and we did not think anymore of it, we simply enjoyed the atmosphere.

During a severe spring storm, hail broke the skylight domes and made me aware of the potential for damage to the interior. I realized the skylight needed protection from extreme weather and I needed the assurance that my home would be free from water damage in the event a similar severe storm occurred while we were away from home.
